1. What does the title mean in relation to the film as a whole?
-The Title of the movie mean that the story in the movie is all about Pi's Life. how he survived in the lifeboat, how he became close to a Bengal tiger. How important faith to him despite of what is happening to him and he wants to share that it's not all about the religion it's a bout how strong your faith is. the movie is all about his experiences and struggles in life in order to survive together with his friend "Richard Parker" the Bengal Tiger.
2. Among the characters, to whom can you relate to?
-I can relate to Pi of course because like him, I've been strong in facing all the struggles life has giving me. i learned to face scary, monster-like human beings without having anything in my hands but only my faith in God. and that like him i faced bravely and strongly the pretentious beauty this sugar-coated world has offered.
3. Which part of the presentation struck you the most? Why?
-the part when he was almost losing hope and they're already quite ill because that's where he was fooled by a magical island but still he opened his eyes to the reality that he must keep going and not lose his faith because if he stayed there they will die.
4. What is the movie’s message?
-Life of Pi's message is that we must keep our faiths strong because God will never give us difficulties that He knows we couldn't handle.
5. Did I like this in general? Why?
-Yes, because it talked about the realities in life that not all scary or unpleasant looking in the world is bad or will cause trouble sometimes it's the beautiful ones full of pretensions and sugar-coated only. once you gave in it will eat you and will drag you down.
6. Did I agree with the main theme/purpose? Why or why not?
-Yes. because it's not all about Religion it's about your faith in God. on how strong your faith is. no matter how much service you offer to your religion if you don't have real faith in God. still it's useless and nothing.
7. What specifically did I like/dislike? Why?
-i like the part where they arrive in the island it really looks magical while the part i dislike is the part where the hyena ate the zebra and the monkey. it looks scary and i don't feel watching that scene. it scares me.
8. Are there any aspects of theme which are left ambiguous at the end? Why?
-For me there is none, because the theme really shows that it's not really about the religion it's about the Belief in God.
9. How does this film relate to the things that are happening in your life?
-this film relate to the things that are happening in my life at the part where my problems start to eat me, but i still able to fight and stand and believe that I can do this, God is with me. i just need to let myself believe and keep my faith strong and high. because i'm not the only one in this world who have problems in life.
